Propósito del Puesto

Buscamos a una persona apasionada de la comunidad  para unirse a nuestro equipo como  Promotora. Este puesto tiene como objetivo proporcionar experiencia práctica en alcance comunitario, liderazgo, educación en salud y alimentación saludable. La persona seleccionada aprenderá clases en estas áreas, aprovechando los recursos de The GrowHaus para impactar positivamente a la comunidad.

  • Participar activamente en actividades de alcance comunitario dentro de GES.

  • Colaborar con el equipo para planificar y facilitar clases sobre salud y alimentación saludable.

  • Aprender a comunicarse de manera efectiva frente a grupos y sentirse cómodo enseñando.

  • Construir relaciones positivas y respetuosas con los miembros de la comunidad.

  • Apoyar en la organización de eventos y talleres comunitarios.

  • Apoyar a otros programas dentro de la organización 

  • Desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo para motivar e inspirar a otros.

Requisitos:

  • Ser parte de la comunidad a la que servimos

  • Hablar y entender inglés y español de manera fluida.

  • Usual horario

  • Poder cargar 25 lbs

  • Ser amable, respetuoso y con excelentes habilidades interpersonales.

  • Estar emocionada por aprender y ser parte de un equipo colaborativo.

  • Tener interés en crecer en el ámbito de la salud comunitaria y el liderazgo

  • Autorizado legalmente para trabajar en EE UU

Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a passionate individual from the community to join our team as a Promoter. This position aims to provide practical experience in community outreach, leadership, health education, and healthy eating. The selected individual will learn about classes in these areas using the resources available by The GrowHaus, to positively impact our community. 

  • Actively participate in community outreach activities in the GES community

  • Collaborate with the team to plan and facilitate classes related to health and healthy eating

  • Learn to communicate effectively and feel comfortable teaching in large groups

  • Create positive and respectful relationships with community members

  • Support in the organization of events and community workshops

  • Support other programs within the organization

  • Develop leadership skills to motivate and inspire others

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Be a part of the community we serve

  • Understand and speak English and Spanish fluently

  • Usual schedule

  • Be able to carry 25 pounds

  • Be respectful and friendly, and have excellent interpersonal skills

  • Have excitement for learning and to be a part of a collaborative team

  • Be interested in growing in the scope of community health and leadership

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
