My Seed2Seed experience in 2018 was life-changing and opened the gates for me to become more confident.
Beyond learning to eat healthier, I discovered that I like connecting with new people and building relationships. Seed2Seed helped me strengthen my communication and public speaking skills, which I now use daily in my job at The GrowHaus.
Seed2Seed inspired me to work with my community.
Since the program ended, I have volunteered at community events and worked at the library. I am now an Associate in The GrowHaus’ Development and Food Access Team while completing my business degree.
I am proud of the positive impact my work is having in the community - while at the same time being able to strengthen my professional skills.
Working at The GrowHaus sparked my interest in creating a company to support my community back in Mexico.
Two years ago, I founded Michi’s Jewelry which sells gold-plated accessories made by indigenous women in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I am using the skills I’m gaining at The GrowHaus and what I'm learning in college to grow my business and continue to support women entrepreneurs.
